About me :

I, Arash Safavizadeh, am currently a power system engineer at Esfahan Regional Electric Company (EREC). I received my B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Electrical Engineering (Power Systems field) from Isfahan University of Technology (IUT), Isfahan, Iran, in 2013 and 2016, respectively. In my M.Sc. thesis, we proposed a real-time two-level control strategy to manage reactive power of inverter-based Distributed Energy Resources (DER) in smart distribution systems to reduce the adverse effect of voltage sags and swells on sensitive loads. This thesis was studied under supervision of Dr. GholamReza Yousefi and Dr. HamidReza Karshenas. Currently, I am involved in several R&D projects about synchrophasor technology and Wide-Area Measurement System (WAMS) applications in EREC.
